$6600 for a ticket!

That pretty much sums up the story.

Going to sporting events is great for people watching. I somehow got free tickets to a hockey game in Edmonton: the Oilers were playing the Kings. We had seats right behind the Kings bench. There were at least five incidents of an Oilers fan coming from somewhere farther away to get in earshot of the Kings bench. They said something like: “*^#&#)@{KINGS$%&*#(*@”. Then they trundled back to where they came from.

I guess they paid good money for their ticket — and that entitles them to be abusive.
