A couple months, I finished a political science book called "Political Order and Political Decay."

The author is a big fan of political parties, for the parties are the vehicles for certain demographics to get things for themselves.

The only exception in western democracy is the Republican Party. Here this party gets loyal votes from its supporters--and does very little for those supporters!

The author could not explain this.
