A few of truckers were duped. These ones were probably anti-vaxxors and anti-maskers anyways. Their rigs give the appearance of a truckers' protest but most of the other protesters and money are coming from somewhere else.

There's a shortage of truck drivers in Canada. Any unvaccinated trucker can find work running from Vancouver to Halifax to Yellowknife without needing to get vaccinated.

As for the weekend, it seems only the hard-core protesters are sticking around. It could get ugly.
