A few years back I watched a documentary about some gender research. The researchers put some gizmos on young men's eyesockets to determine where their eyes were focusing. Videos of young women were shown. Those of us watching the documentary saw the "red spot" spending a lot of time on the women's breasts.
Men are looking at breasts. That's not news.
Then the researchers put the same gizmo on women's eyes and showed the same videos. The red spot spent a lot of time on breasts as well.
The hypothesis was that women are checking up on each other for some comparitve reasons. I'm not sure what this means, but it is noteworthy.
Bottom line, we need to be more conscious of our biology and psychological makeup.
