A few years back, the Canadian military sold its Leopard tanks. It was basing its tactics into more nimble APC's moving infantry, something it probably learned in Afghanistan.

This move looked a little silly to me at the time. But I'm not where close to being an expert in these matters. Now it looks like a good decision.
