My take is that the Trump base is a coalition of conservative demographics who want to control other people. They saw--before MR. Trump saw--that he could lead them to their utopia.

They have learned how to work the current system to gain political leverage. And they seem content a dismantling of democracy is a suitable stepping stone of they get that control.

But it's time for a new way. Western democracy has run its course .
