A narrow D victory in November would not be acceptable to the MAGA crowd. They believe that being a patriot of the 1776 kind would be an honorable direction in life.

It's not hard for me to imagine that the D's create their own quasi-oligarchy before January 25, 2025. After all, did SCOTUS not grant presidential immunity for crimes while in office? Many Americans would support this move.

Not good times.
