A Republican oligarchy is plausible. However, this movement has two distinct demographics to it: the R's who wear nice cloths and the R's who wear ordinary clothes.

The nice clothes R's will run the show, but I can't see them providing enough political goodies for the ordinary R's. Within a decade, these two halves will turn on each other. Another revolution.

Before then, I hope enough people in the USA will take my idea that it is time to build an alternative democracy.
