A while back, you told me that Mr. Biden’s campaign is floundering. And we are.

As fun making political predictions is (and I am guilty), no one knows what the future holds. There’s lots of surprises in politics. And no one knows how Covid-19 is going to affect turnout at the polls in November.

After November, there will still be a lot of D’s elected to raise all sort of trouble for Mr. Trump. CNN and MSNBC and Washington Post won’t be closed down. The armed forces are much more loyal to the Constitution than the president. The fractitious police forces have not been bribed. Competent people will be drummed out the White House. There is no sign that a coup is possible.

But maybe Trump 2.0 is smarter.

Time to build a new system before that happens.
