About five years ago, there was a fellow who set up a fictional world called Asgardia. It was a big spacestation that was breaking Earth's orbit and would no longer be under Earth's domain. This social engineer was trying to get people to write up a constitution for this new nation.

One of my few TDG fans, a fellow named Spencer, invited me to take on a leadership role in Asgardia. I had a baby in my life--and I knew the time would not be there for me to do both jobs right. I chose the kid. But I was privileged to the text dialogue.

Spencer took on a leadership role. He tried to employ some of the TDG principles in my book. But without the tiers to filter out the more unreasonable people, the discussion got bogged down with minutia and pet peeves. Yes, there were posts about having the constitution use and legalize gender neutral pronouns.

Within two months, Asgardia collapsed. The social engineer cut off the discussion board. I'm not sure what happened after that. But it was a good experiment to watch.
