About four years ago, the Atlantic had a great article called "The American Aristocracy". It talks about a liberal elite which has/had political leverage to ensure its comfortable position in society.

In my opinion, this aristocracy is a good part of the reason for the rise of MAGA. But very few are able to see the connection.
