Also big lumber. BC makes more money off lumber than oil. Many more high paying jobs in the forestry industry than the petroleum industry.

I'm always a little suspicious when some leftee claims the petroleum industry is subsidized. So I checked the link. It seems there are tax credits for fracking wells. If so, I would have to agree that this subsidy is distorting the marketplace.

Anyways, we can't put the blame on the government. They are beholden to the people, who want good jobs and don't want to face reality. Besides these climate aberrations were the result of world activities, not just BC-made.
