I'm looking at the photo of the abandoned oilfield. I suspect that it is shut in to let the oil pressure recharge. This field will be turned on when oil prices are really high. But from what I can see, this oilfield did not have the 10 to 30 year viability that many oilfield have. The land has been scarred for short-termism. It would be nice to do some research on the economics of this projects.
