Climate change and Covid-19 are not the first instances of governments failing to react in good time. Nor will they be the last.

Covid-19 is showing us that western democracies are failing. For example, it should have been an easy call for all western nations to warehouse hospital supplies for a pandemic such as this. They didn’t. Why?

My question is: should we blame the politicians or should we blame the electoral systems that put them in place.

I have an alternative system of governance. I believe it will better prepare the world for its upcoming challenges.

Tiered Democratic Governance

The only alternative I can see is to continue to blame politicians. But that won’t get us the solutions we are looking for.
