Andrew Tanner: You are definitely thinking out of the box! So many Medium political writers believe that USA's problems will solved with a 55% D win in 2022 and 2024----and you are painting a more real reality.

I liked the word "trifecta". It accurately describes the situation in many states where the important elections are actually the internal party elections. Maybe 15% of the population vote in these elections. With the trifecta, gaining the levers of power requires skillful manipulation of the internal party machinations, not winning the hearts and minds of the other 85%. Feudalism disguised as democracy if you ask me.
