Another contributor had an interesting article about "the Medium Lottery," where Medium earnings are worth the effort to write the daily rants.

It didn't get as much traction as yours, but Medium readers don't want to hear what I have to say.

The fact that Umair has won the Medium lottery really speaks to our collective psyche. The very forces that Umair rails about should be pretty happy that he is popular. Umair has coached his followers into not doing much about the problem.

Another political writer that I dog is Lauren Martinchek. She rallies against the Democratic Party for not doing things she thinks it should be doing. Maybe she believes that she can bend the will of the Democrats with her clever articles, but it's not hard to see that she too has won the Medium lottery.

BTW, I am not enrolled in the MPP program. I have tried to quit Medium several times. But it lures my back in. I have posted any article for a while; it's just not worth the 3-4 hour effort. But I make a couple of comments a day.
