Another Three Articles that Should Have Done Better

This is my second article of this series. Please don’t get me wrong; I’m not angry at anyone. I have accepted my position on Medium of being a bottom writer. I probably won’t rise until I abandon the idea that we need to build a new democracy. If I don’t like my limited Medium exposure, I am free to change my ways or leave.

But I would just like to know why some articles do better than others. Even this bottom writer has articles that rise or fall, relatively speaking.

Here is my classification of strength for my articles:

1. Below Average: Less than $1.00 per article

2. Average: Between $1.00 to $3.00 per article.

3. Above Average: More than $3.00 per article.

There are a few articles that I predicted would be “below average.” And so they were. For example, I usually provide a book review for books I have recently read. Seldom do these articles do well in terms of Medium shekels; it does not matter whether or not the author or book is famous. History says I should have no big expectations from my reviews. So my reviews do not become part of my “should have done better” list.
