Another Three Articles that Should Have Done Better
The mystery of Medium continues
Since the election of Donald Trump for the second time, I have been more direct in promoting my alternative democracy, the TDG. I thought, maybe now, a few people would finally be ready for the change I am offering.
If tangible results are the goal, my current Medium strategy has been failing.
You see, Medium readers find an alternative democracy as “unthinkable.” I would be better off talking about the purple cows on Mars than replacing our current democracy with a better democracy. So I have learned to be indirect with my Medium presentation, if I am to get reasonable traction.
As expected, my traction went down with direct TDG articles. It looks like about 80% down. Nonetheless, I think a few titles in this direct series should have found more clicks and reads.
Before I point out my losers that should have been winners, here is the traction profile prior to November 5 — in terms of $ per article.
X < $0.80: less than average
$0.80 < X < $1.60: average
X > $1.60: more than average
Because of the strategy change after November 5, I will have to tweak these numbers for 2025 — downward.
