Any UBI should start slowly. Maybe $200 a month. Have the economists and sociologists watch the changes. If jobs are going unfilled, not a good time to increase the UBI. If the rents go up by $200, some time will be needed until the free market finds its balance.
When the UBI reaches $500 a month, that will be a good time to restructure the various social programs, with the goal of eliminating most of them.
Giving everyone $2000 a month is going to be chaos. Too many holders of crappy jobs will quit, leaving the economy struggling. .
