As a child, I thought this story was pretty weird. I really hadn't thought about it much.

But this article suggests there are some hidden meanings. Did the author put these meetings there on purpose? Was he trying to keep misogyny in place? Or was he trying to get the people of his time to question misogyny? Or was he just trying to tell us a story to earn some royalties?
