As I was not personally there, my readings of The Economist and my anecdotes should be taken as "not conclusive proof." And as I mentioned earlier, a small vocal minority can make itself bigger than it really is. The media do like their controversy.

Maybe there will be some studies on this societal change done later. To willingly change languages like this is unprecedented from my sense of history.
