As I was reading another great article from the Atlantic, I could only ask myself: "When, when, when, when will the world realize that western democracy really can't handle these crises on a consistent basis?"
Yes, other western nations handled the crisis better. Yes, a different president would have handled the crisis better. But Covid-19 came at a time when Mr. Trump was in office.
Maybe next time, the USA will be lucky with the right person at the helm, but there is no guarantee.
It is time for The Atlantic and its readers to investigate a new way of governing ourselves:
