As I went through several years of catechism classes, more Catholic things were making less sense to me.
I went through the Catholic confirmation process mostly because my mother thought it would be good for me.
I wanted a "fun" life, and being Catholic seemed to be against that. I would be a hypocrite if I walked on both paths. But I left the church shortly after confirmation.
There was a couple of months I re-investigated the church, but all those things that didn't make sense were still there.
I admire people who use their faith to better themselves, their families, and communities. But when the main message is to get to heaven . . . . .
