Banning "interest, rent-seeking, and corporate profit" is much easier said than done. To me, this article is mostly about wishful thinking than having an actual plan to get there.
Right now, it would be politically popular for the Democrats to reduce student debt. But they can't do that--even to the point of losing the elections in 2022 and 2024. This shows how the above changes will not happen under the guidance of American demoracy.
We really need to change democracy so that it serves the people. Maybe when we get this democracy, we might find "interest' rent-seeking, and corporate profit" are not so bad when it is appropriately regulated.
It really is time to abandon western democracy--and build a totally new system.
