Before I inspected the website, my take was the opposition to voter ID laws was about the Democratic Party not losing a little electoral edge they currently hold. Of course, this has been framed as saving democracy.

The website more or less confirmed my suspicion. Its argument was lacking in logic. It'll be interesting to see if the original author responds to my points.
