Benjamin David Steel is a writer that deserves far more recognition on Medium. I too read that article. I will be mentioning him in a future article.

I am still puzzled why 86m Americans chose not to vote, especially with mail-in voting. This was a high stakes election.

Having said that, 10m more votes for Harris would have brought the radical conservatives to do their patriot thing. So maybe the USA bought some time with the Trump "win." In other words, there really was no great outcome with this election.

The middle class that came to USA and Canada--and later to western Europe, is an aberration of the natural order.

Like a beautiful flower garden, it takes work to maintain that middle class. Unfortunately, our democratic systems are unable to provide for that maintenance.

We can blame this party or that party, but we need a totally new way.
