Many political contributors like to blame Trump, the Republicans, and the MAGA base for the current ills of American society.

I am not one of them.

This social/political movement has many reasons for existing. One of those reasons is that the electoral system allows people to vote for a charismatic con man. So I blame the system, not the people who vote differently than I.

In my alternative democracy, the MAGA crowd would still be allowed to vote. But who they are voting for would be much different.
