Brian: Congrats on the car choice. I have just got some new furniture, and I look at the cardboard and styrofoam that comes with it and I wonder if there is a better way. I was conscious of my consumer choices without Umair and Jessica's help. I'm not always doing the right thing, but if more of us go in this direction, the better.

In this article, I used sensationalism to get some attention. I got it. The article is not even 2 days old and it is already got more traction than my last 10 articles put together. It seems strange that Umair and Jessica can use sensationalism to get their readership up, but I can't.

As for the textbooks, I have to agree that there is too much vested interest in content and profit. If we want to reduce that ugly side of education, then I would say the TDG would provide a better approach.

And yes, American history has been whitewashed. I have read "Lies My Teacher Told Me."
