Canada is also putting together a whole whack of band-aid solutions to help business — -and increase the money supply. I feel for both the businesses and the civil service trying to handle this mess.

In an ideal world, there should have been a playbook created for when a pandemic hits and alters the economy. This plan could have had the benefit of lots of time and expertise. Then the plan should have been put on the shelf. When the pandemic hits, enact the plan!

But no western democracy did that, indicating how western democracy is failing. It is time for a new way.
