Conning MAGA supporters will be more lucrative than writing Medium articles.
Websites are easy. AI art is easy. Credit card, well there probably is an angle to get that set up.
The Atlantic had an article about trolling MAGA websites. The trolls pretended to be MAGA supporters, but they framed posts to get MAGA supporters to think. Sometimes the trolls were discovered and kicked out.
It would be psychological game to play to stay on. Selling MTG trading cards, well, that could be money in the bank.

Most of the Medium articles I read are getting similar traction as I. Some even less. And some of it is pretty thought-provoking.
For the first 2.5 years on Medium, I did not sign on to MPP. I knew I wasn't going to make a lot of money, and I didn't see the sense of giving an internet entity any personal information (like my business bank account number).
In the fall of 2021, I had a plan to write one article a day--and see where that takes me. I thought signing on to MPP would increase my chances of moving up in the writer ranks. But . . . .
Anyways, the MPP kind of shows Revenue Canada that I do have a viable business, so that allows me a few business deductions.
And it is a little fun to see some $$$$ signs.
I haven't notice any drop in $$ or traction since the August changes. But a couple of middle writers were complaining. Umair Haque took a little sabbatical, but he is back now. For some reason, Tim Denning is showing up on my feed again.
I haven't sold a book since February. So 2023 is shaping up to my worst year since I put the ebook on Amazon in 2017.
I get about 30 new followers a month. I believe most come from comments (almost 10,000). But I don't see them reading my stuff.
I looked into Ko-fi. When I weighed the likely revenue against the personal info given out, I gave it a pass.
You in a lot of good company. There are many bottom writers here.

I have another article for Zone, kind of a doom-and-gloom article. It is more or less done, but I like to space my work out. Maybe in three weeks.
