Cool work.

I’ve been more of an academic and technical writer. About a year ago, I got a suggestion to turn my concept of a government without political parties into a novelette. At first I was scared, as writing fiction doesn’t interest me. But I got some help from an aspiring novelist I had engaged with on a writer’s internet forum, from which we have earned mutual respect. From reading his work and his theories on creating dialogue, I was actually able to craft a reasonable story. He has inspected my work and confirmed that I am on a good path.

Your article helped verify his teachings. And it has given me a few more inspection tools as I work through the second draft.

The novelette has turned into novel. But it is a good story to supplement my academic approach. Hopefully it will find more readers.
