Creationism only works if you compress the entire lifetime of our planet into the briefest of periods.
It seems we are programmed to understand things on the simplest of terms. We get something that works for us; then we stop looking for more. I can now see why creationism appeals to a lot of people.
I have a 56,000-word book that describes a replacement system of governance for western democracy. I have been asked a few times to write a briefer synopsis. I did reduce it to 4,500 words. While it seemed to me that the shorter version is missing far too many important connections, the reduction in words did not bring about any extra readers.
We seem to understand western democracy without really understanding it because we are living in it. I am seeing a connection between this outdated system of governance and creationism.
Nice piece. It got me thinking about the world!
