Definitely a popular opinion to improve democracy, but will fall short.
For a while, I invested in blue-chip public companies. I received voter forms to vote for this board of directors or another board. I never voted. I could not be bothered to do do five to 10 hours of research to figure out which slate was better. It was better for my vote not to be cast--and let those who did the research cast a wiser vote.
If a citizen cannot make a minimal investment in the process, it is better that that vote is not cast.
