"Dying" might be a strong word here. I prefer "regressing." That is in the American forecast.
I liked the analogy that too many British never wanted to be an equal partner with Europe. They still pander to the "good old days" with many British colonies around the world--as if that world could somehow come back. Americans are losing their economic hegemony of the world. They too will believe their regression is actually progress.
China seems to be replacing USA in East Asia and Africa. I heard even some "belts and roads" were built is Jamaica.
China is not exactly a civilization we want to dominate the world.
It's time for a new way. Maybe it's time for we--the people--to learn how to govern ourselves. And that means more than voting and protesting.
