Dylan:

I tried to save the world in 1986. I joined a Canadian political party and became an active volunteer to bring my "superior insights" into the political process. As time went on, I realized that internal party politics is very dysfunctional: no family or community or business or government organization could run for too long with such dysfunction.

I quit politics in 1992. But somehow I invented another system that addressed all the dysfunction I had seen. And that has been my hobby ever since.

In 2009, I wrote the third edition of Tiered Democratic Governance. I predicted that the USA had another 20 years before it fell apart:

Americans did not take my warning seriously back then.

I doubled down on Medium after November 5--and my Medium traction dropped by 80%. Not a good sign for where our political mental health truly is.

Watching my Medium and Mastodon feed, I'm not certain whether the USA will move to full oligarchy soon or there are enough "democracy workers" to keep the ship afloat for a while longer.

However, I don't think the Democratic Party will ever reform itself to build the kind of nation USA needs to become. I see little point in trying to bend the will of this party--because it already has its own political instincts. Kind of like telling a lion to become a vegetarian.

The TDG can built regardless of the path that the USA chooses in the next few months.
