Even with all the media hype of school shootings, the odds of a student in the USA being shot at school are still very, very, very small. We have to weigh the benefits of these traumatic drills against the possible benefits of teachers/children knowing what they should be doing (or maybe not). Firedrills are a lot easier to train for good results.
