Excellent article. The politicians we elect are often a reflection of ourselves.

I’m not so sure we should aim to go back to “compromise.” Compromise still will not provide those unique decisions we really need for our increasingly complex world.

Rather, we should move towards “consultation”, where the decision makers strive to combine their knowledge, experience, and wisdom into one voice. In this way, consultation will provide the decisions that are better than one one individual or faction can create on their own.
