Expecting the current system to change itself is naïve. With the 3/4 of states clause, the USA is in a deadlock for any changes, at least for another 20 years.

But in 20 years, the USA could have a new democracy. Only 1% of Americans putting in only 10 hours a month can put this new democracy together.

And this 1% does not need permission from the political elite, the wealthy, the academics, or even a majority of citizens.
