Farmers are pretty good at portraying themselves like they are still back in the 1940s: small farms barely making a living while keeping the rest of us fed.

I live in a rural area of southern Alberta. When I have some dealings with local high school, it seems strange the teenage kids of farmers can afford much better vehicles than this wage earner can afford.
