First, I would be the second kind of 2001 fan. The latter parts were too weird. I remember reading a Medium article explaining it, which finally made some sense for me. But I can't recall much from that article, so I'm back to the weird ending in my mind.

I'm not sure what Kubrick's vision really was. But HAL is becoming more real, is he not?
