First time I heard of this series. But I wasn't in a TV watching mode in the days of this show's run.

My experience in Canadian politics (1986 to 1992) is that most politicians do not spend much time on the "issues." Rather they are more in mode of politics, like who are in the bigger chairs and trying to maneuver oneself into a big chair. I could see the system was quasi-dysfunctional: a system which I could not see lasting forever. And the issues have become less important as time has passed.

It seems Alpha House was indeed predicting the future.

Now we need a political writer to get us out of this mess.
