"Fixing the filibuster" has been around since I started watching American politics. Two problems: 1) it is unlikely it will be fixed, and 2) if it is fixed, democracy won't get better.
There are other solutions flying around. These solutions are more about wishing and hoping and if they do get implemented, not much will change. But these solutions have some degree of popularity. But popularity does not mean effectiveness.
It took 30 years to effect the 17th Amendment and results are inconclusive.
The 12 Limitations are things that need to be fixed. If they are trivialized, then the limitations will remain in place.
My solution is much different than the popular solutions.
But if you want to stick with the filibuster, I suggest putting a movement together, uniting all the voices that already believe in this repair.
