For a moment, we need to put ourselves in the DOJ position.

A little while ago, Virginia had a gubernatorial election. Despite the aftermath of January 6, which is showing obvious signs of a future one-party nation, 30% of eligible voters still voted for the political party that is working towards that one-party state. Thirty percent of American would prefer that one-party state than the two-party hegemony the USA currently employs.

In an ideal USA, the Virginia should have been a big victory for the Democrats. The Republicans were not politically punished enough to end their quest for that one-party state.

This 30% political demographic is playing big time into the actions of the DOJ. It needs to do its job absolutely right. This means proper evidence and proper procedures. Anything short of 100% means that this legal process does look like a witchhunt. Any shortfall will mean the 30% will be more emboldened to "save the country". The more neutral voters will not be impressed with a sloppy legal job.

We should start to consider that too much water has passed under the bridge. Whether the DOJ can do its job or not is not dependent on how many Medium articles are published in this matter.

And even if the DOJ does its job properly, the 30% might feel entitled to take matters into their own hands anyways.

Rather, it is time for 1% of Americans to start building a new democracy. This new democracy can be built if the USA continues bumbling with its two-party system or the USA experiments with a one-party state.
