For about three years, the City of Calgary has been converting office towers into condos and rental units.

Building owners were given grants to make the renovations. But I think the owners could see that the older office towers were less able to find corporate clients.

It would be nice to create neighborhoods where many people work, shop, socialize, and entertain within walking distance.

Downtown Calgary will be a great example in another decade.
