For me, the byzantine rules of the Electoral College just became more byzantine.
As the rules are interpreted on November 5 (or shortly after), both sides can claim they won because they are following the "true" rules. Not exactly a recipe for credibility of the electoral processes.
I believe a decisively decisive victory is possible for the D's on November (despite current polling). This should quell a lot of the uncertainty. But the election may still be a coin-flip. So too the election after.
Time for a new way.
