Fortunately I don’t have a job with a lot of metrics attached. We just do the work when it comes up, as best we can.
I just read a Medium article about the metrics when working at Amazon. It that case, the metrics have gone way overboard.
I think there is balance with using metrics in many workplaces. We need wise metrics, ones that give managers good information and employees comprehensible job outcomes.
