I am still confused as to why you say the TDG is Catholic in nature. The only thing I can figure out is that you have not read my book. In Chapter 3, I do mention that the Gnostic Christians were developing an egalitarian democratic structure similar to the TDG. It was much different than the “catholic” structure that came about after the Council of Nicea in 325.
