The big lie that needs to be exposed is that the American constitution was not written by God. It was written by men who had many flaws and foibles. Their prime motivation was to rid themselves of various British laws that were interfering with the profits of their businesses. The founding fathers were feathering their own nest, not really all that concerned about the rights of native Americans, slaves, women, and white men of low economic value. This much-less-than-altuistic aspect of the US constitution has been a disease in the American psyche since that document was created.

There are reasons for using supermajority votes as opposed to simple majority vote. When rights are being suspended or trampled or when the society is making a big decisions (like Brexit), a supermajority ensure the society is really ready to go that direction. If a few voters change their mind the morning after a simple majority vote, there stilll is a majority behind that decsion. There is nothing evil about a supermajority.

Those who are designing the rules need to weigh the pros and cons of using a supermajority. Once ratified, the supermajority can be changed back to a simple majority, but through due process.

In building the TDG, I have left the writing of the local constitutions to the early TDG builders. They will use simple majorities in some places; they will use supermajorities in other places. If they are ideologically driven to use only simple majorities in all matters, they would be free to do so.

In essence, the builders of the TDG will be writing new constitutions----just like the founding fathers.

But this time, people of all demographics can take part.
