Frederick: I quit following top writers. While I still get them an my feed, but I don't click. I go for articles that have an intriguing title.

What I am finding is a whole bunch of writers with nifty ideas and perspectives, but having as little Medium traction as I have.

We are not alone!

I believe Medium is giving unfair advantage to its top writers. They are not 2000x better than I am.

My solution is for writers to vote for other writers into the top tiers:

I have read a few your articles about the hydrogen economy. Sometimes I can follow what you are saying; sometimes not. I think your ideas are much bigger than just a few articles.

Your work could benefit from a structural editor. Having said that, I think it is doubtful that this extra effort will pay off for you in Medium.
