From your written comparisons, it seems the various dialects would have trouble understanding each other.

My dialect experience is in Czechoslovakia. The language slowly changed from west to east. Most people could understand each other. But people in West Czechia could not understand people from East Slovakia.

Just move 30 km away, and learners of Czech or Slovak almost found themselves with a new language to work with.
